Austin was the first “big” trip I went on. It was one of many firsts. First long flight, first hostel, first girls’ trip. It confirmed and simultaneously sparked my love of travel and adventure. I booked it with a coworker on a whim. We were a group of three including her roommate.
The group stayed in the Firehouse Hostel in a perfect and central location to everything that Austin has to offer. We met some awesome people in the hostel both in our room and on the first night when we did the hostel’s pub crawl (definitely reccommend).
The weekend we spent there was full of bbq, drinking, and walking. The layout of the city was easy to navigate. It separated into neighborhoods so we planned the trip accordingly. We used google docs to get every recommendation we could for everything there was to see and eat.
