It has always been a dream of mine to move to NYC. I decided in the beginning of 2014 to stop living my life by making plans and dreaming of the future, and actually start doing the things I’ve always wanted. In that year I’ve traveled to Austin, New Orleans, San Francisco, Tahoe, Sonoma, Denver, Boulder and New York City. I packed my life in two suitcases and moved to the Big Apple in two weeks.
After a month of couch-surfing, I landed in Chelsea apartment fully equipped with 4 flights to walk up and a fire escape to climb to the roof on. It was a dream. I lived there for a completely unreal year and have now settled in Brooklyn which offers its neighborhood charm and priceless views of the Manhattan skyline.
I work in digital media with an emphasis on email and social but my real passion is looking for the best flight deals and planning trips. Since moving to New York I’ve traveled to 5 new countries and countless new cities. I didn’t do the sell-all-my-belongings for the road route, but I have a desire to see the world that I intend to satisfy as much as possible.
